Accessible

This project photographs accessible objects that I either currently use or have used in the past as a chronically ill and disabled young adult. I personally remember feeling reluctant and self conscious using accessible aids like these, worried about the looks and comments I would receive. Remarks insinuating I didn't really need them, stares from people who don't understand the versatility of disability when I stood up from my wheelchair etc. I know many others have had similar experiences. But these objects are amazing, the way something as simple as a shower stool can help prevent pain and conserve energy is beautiful. My intention for this project was to proudly showcase these objects to both normalize and embrace them
